The British television series The Avengers. I had great appreciation for their points of view. Georgia Beer's story "Balance" is also very compelling.There's a bit of inconsistency at the beginning of the story. And a strongly worded opinion from the point of view of the main character, as she relays a lesson learned from a past experience, that gave me great pause. I do believe one is an oversight and the other will be given more room perhaps in Book Two. Which I hope to read soon.

I really like the concept. Something different than strictly romance
Captivating, a good read to escape. This one drew in me in quickly. A godsend to leave the day's worries and be somewhere else. Vivid characters.
Suspenseful.. wonder what will happen in book 2
Short and sweet...draws you in and asks some universal questions that most of us have. Allowed me to fantasize about the hero I've wanted to be at times. Has a positive ending that leaves you wanting the sequel immediately.
Entertaining female avenger short story. Beers weaves an interesting and off the cuff story with ease. A bit pricey but something unique and different in lesbian lit makes it good value.
This is a fantastic read which left this straight male reader with a single thought - this should have been developed into a full length novel and exposed to a broad audience. I hope it will become just that. (And in a truly just world the minds behind a show like Law and Order would develop it for the screen...)
I loved this first and second episodes of Balance by Georgia Beers. Hayley and Norah are great characters. It's always nice to read about people who work behind the scenes to right injustice. Can't wait to read more.
