I had hoped to read about what was in the paper, expecting perhaps a sort of 'Year in Review'. Instead, it is about who is writing and editing what was in the newspaper. I was interested from an historical viewpoint to see the remarkable changes made in newspapering over the 90 years-- just reading about the number of staff reporters they maintained in 1928 is, for anyone living in this age of newspaper cuts and closures, astounding-- but it would have been far more interesting to read a selection of articles from the era. Of course, it was written by the paper as self-advertisement, so what we would think almost a century after it closed probably wasn't uppermost on the editor's mind.Product details
